In 1977, the Selah brothers, immigrants from war-torn Lebanon, opened this restaurant featuring Middle Eastern cuisine. Delicacies on the menu include stuffed grape leaves, tabbouleh, kibbeh, and fatayer. Traditional deli sandwiches on just about any type of homemade bread you could imagine are also available. This restaurant serves catfish and bacon, collards cooked with pork fat, and rice pudding. Think I'm talking about some Deep South joint, right? Well, I am. Deep South Vietnam, that is. The American South and Vietnam share some culinary flavors, and you must visit this fabulous spot just outside of Raleigh to give them a try. Go out on a limb, and try the Delta Rice Pudding for dessert. This ain't the Mississippi Delta's version, though it does contain another Southern staple: black-eyed peas.
