1. Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

The Buzz -- Since it began in 1938, this local event has only continued to grow. Held in Sturgis, just west of Rapid City, the rally attracts riders from all across the country – tens of thousands of them, in fact. They bring their bikes to see and be seen, and everything from choppers to antiques to custom rigs shows up on the streets. The local economy gets a huge boost from the week-long annual gathering, which features concerts held throughout the town, racing events, motorcycle jumps, and more.
