HERMOSA.   Within this historic structure – referred to as the "Summer White House" during Calvin Coolidge's administration – lies one of the area's most esteemed restaurants. Specializing in game, the menu offers great Western flavor, as seen in grilled buffalo, deer chops, roasted pheasant breast, cornbread-stuffed quail, and pan-seared rainbow trout. The signature buffalo stew gets a dollop of creme fraiche and a sprinkling of cilantro to bring out its flavor, and desserts include a local creme brulee, served on a sweet tortilla and topped with berries.   (© 10Best)
