DOWNTOWN.   With its detailed brick storefronts, tree-lined streets, and public sculpture, Rapid City's historic downtown area is a wonderful place to wander. Take in the charm of its streetscape, and see all the specialty shops that make up the district. A number of good restaurants lie in the vicinity as well, and the Elks Theatre – a working cinema – is an unusual but welcome presence in a modern-day downtown.   (© 10Best)
