RAPID CITY. If you've got a hankering for pizza, you'll find a brief nirvana at this casual eatery. Dozens of combinations accommodate most any taste, as proven by Spicy Perogy (smoked bacon, potatoes, sour cream), Mardi Gras (chicken, Italian sausage, pineapple), and Tuscan (marinara, roasted garlic, spinach, chicken). You can also build your own pie if you've got something special in mind. Pastas and sandwiches are available as well, along with ribs, grilled chicken, and baked salmon. Desserts include cheesecake and lots of rich, chocolate concoctions.

DOWNTOWN. Adorned with firefighting memorabilia, this brewpub takes absolute delight in its 1915 firehouse setting and even boasts a firepole from the second floor. The place is a Rapid City fixture, and both beer and food are excellent. The menu includes English pub fare and such American standards as burgers, steaks, ribs, sandwiches, soups, and fresh seafood. An outdoor patio is a great lunch destination and a dinner theatre and lounge fill the evenings with fun.

RAPID CITY. Fuddrucker's amazing burgers are among some of the best you'll taste, cooked to order and served on great homemade buns. After you order at the counter, your name is called, and you pick up your bare burger. A trip to the fixings bar lets you dress it as you please, with everything from lettuce and tomato to jalapenos, relish, and melted cheese. The resulting burger is enormous, but it's all good. Order a quarter pound if you're a light eater or up to a pound if the appetite's large. Add in fries or onion rings, and it's a decadent feast. Other options include chicken sandwiches, salads, and their specialty burgers.
