Bridges Barbeque Lodge in Shelby, NC is by far the best. With luscious lean hickory smoked barbeque by multiple generations of the same family that has been running it since 1949. Though immaculate and comfortable, you can step back in time to the 1960's decor that has been there since I was a teenager. You can drive up into the gravel parking lot, walk in and be welcomed. Within just a few minutes you are treated to the best barbeque and best sweet tea in North Carolina. My grandparents started taking me there in the 50's through the 60's. We continued to go as we added generations. We are now on the 4th generation of our family of faithful patrons of Bridges Barbeque!! And....we don''t even live in Shelby or even in the same county. We are willing to drive to get this delicious barbeque!!
