WOODSIDE.   A romantic restaurant with incredible views of the Silicon Valley, Bella Vista has been the setting for many marriage proposals. Whether seated by the window or the fireplace, visitors appreciate wonderfully old-fashioned ambience and a menu that keeps locals coming back for special-occasion dinners. Steak Diane, chateaubriand for two, and veal saltimbocca are excellent choices, and dessert soufflés (like the Godiva chocolate version) are superb as well.
