4. Nugget Diner

Nugget Diner-Tuesday Karaoke Night
We stayed in Reno for 2 nights and the last night we were walking down Virginia St. and heard a song we liked playing in a small casino/diner so we went in to see what was going on. It was karaoke night. Most of the places we have visited in Reno had been mostly older people there gambling so it was nice that in the Nugget had more of a variety of ages. We didn't eat there because we had just ate but the food people where ordering looked great so we will be going there to eat soon. It was so much fun everyone was laid back and very friendly as if we are regulars. The only downfall was when a group of about 17 year olds came in and the guy started checking everyones ID, and I happen to leave my purse in the hotel so I had to leave as well. Still from now on everytime I visit Reno I will not miss out on going to the Nugget especially for karaoke night!! I just won't forget my ID this time!!

as for the nugget diner. they have great food, but horrible customer service. when we went to the nugget to try and order some burgers. we sat down for the meal, no one even acknowledged that we where even there. after i asked someone if we could order something the girl rudely answered, " what do you want". we asked for a couple of menus and she said they didn't have any. then she said the only thing they have there are the burgers that are on the wall. another customer walked in and asked if they could use their debit card there. she said it was cash only, the customer did not hear what she said so she started to yell at the guy and said it was cash only, she said "what part of cash only don't you understand". i talked to the manager but even the manager didn't seem to really care about the girls attitude. he stared at me like i was crazy. all he did was hang on the bar and said he would talk to her about it. As for the food it is great but i will never go there again, horrible service. its bad enough that they are in a little "whole in the wall" but to treat people like that doesn't make anything better for business.

The nugget really goes off of your rating scale. It is really more than just "excellent" It reminds me of the "old style" Vegas... It is amazing to see the variety of people in this place. Most of them seemed to be regulars. I guess we were too by the end of our trip.. WE STAYED IN RENO FOR 5 NIGHTS AND ATE AT THE NUGGET FOR 4 OF THEM !!!! They are known for the burger, but everything that we tried on the menu was fantastic. The nugget is one of the reasons that we probably will not return to Vegas !!!! Don’t ignore this place when you walk by. It looks like a "dive" but it has the best comfort food that I have ever eaten !!!!
