DOWNTOWN.   Richmond's oldest church, St. John's, was founded in 1739 and hosted the Second Constitutional Convention in 1775. Site of Patrick Henry's famed "Give me liberty or give me death!" speech. Re-enactments are held between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Must go during the reinactment of the "Give me liberty or give me death!" speech. One can get a sense of how the important decision was of whether to go to war against the Brittish and fight for freedom or stay as subjective colonists.
