4. State Fair of Virginia

The Buzz -- Come join in the fun at this annual state fair held in Richmond each September. Events include competitions, horticulture and crop exhibitions, livestock shows, horse shows, and arts and crafts displays. You'll be tapping your feet, and maybe even singing, to the sounds of the live music carried across the fairgrounds on a cool September evening. Don't leave without taking a ride on the carousel or buying some goodies from the many food vendors.
