ROCHESTER. Dedicated to preserving the diverse history of Rochester and Olmsted County, this facility features exhibits portraying significant events in the region's history. A Hands-On Cabin allows kids to see what life was like here in the mid-19th century, when Minnesota was still considered part of the American frontier. Other exhibits focus on the Mayo Clinic, St. Mary's Hospital, and IBM. The library/archives area holds a wide range of historical documents, including original photographs, county records, census reports, newspapers, journals, and diaries.
