3. Historic Bluff Country

HARMONY.   Less than an hour from Rochester is Minnesota's scenic Bluff Country, a dazzling landscape of steep rock slopes, winding streams, and unspoiled forests. Each year thousands of hikers and bicyclists come to explore the area via the Root River State Trail or the Harmony-Preston Valley Trail. Anglers, too, find plenty of ways to pass the time – the region's many streams and rivers are ed with brown, brook, and rainbow trout. If outdoor adventures aren't your bag, there's plenty of antiquing to be done in the hamlets tucked away off Highways 44, 63, 52, and 61.   (© 10Best)
