1. Hunan Garden

I grew up in Rochester and ever since I was a little girl I have loved this restaurant. Even now I go back whenever I get the chance, because they make the best, freshest Chinese food I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Their dishes can be spicy (which I love) but if you don't fancy hot food the menu, and the servers, will surely lead you to a dish you will enjoy. Personally, I almost always order the Tai Chin Chicken because it is just so fabulous time and time again. Other than that the atmosphere is nice, it's clean, and as I mentioned, the service is great. Lunch specials are really reasonable (about $6 alltogether per person) and they definitely give you your money's worth! They're consistent too, which I find is often a rarity in locally owned, not 'fine-dining' restaurants.
