2. Hubbell House

MANTORVILLE.   In 1856, just two years after Mantorville was incorporated, John Hubble rebuilt his original rustic hotel to accommodate a new influx of travelers, including everybody from Ulysses S. Grant to W.W. Mayo. These days – although guests may no longer let rooms – the historic property still manages to attract a fair number of tourists each season, thanks to its reputation for fine food. Dining rooms are decorated much as they were in stagecoach days, and country antiques and furnishings make for cozy environs. Meanwhile, the menu features such homestyle delights as walleye pike almondine, broiled lamb chops, and smoked Windsor pork chop. Reservations are accepted.   (© 10Best)

The Hubbell House is a quaint stop that everyone living or traveling to the area MUST visit. Food is always exceptional and a good value for your money. If you're coming to the Mayo Clinic, you should plan to include the Hubbell House in your destination plans - it's guaranteed to make you relax and feel at home!
