The Little has been showing films in Rochester since 1929. The Little features enriching American independent and foreign films in each of its five theaters. The movie prices are inexpensive, with special rates for senior citizens, children, and students. The Little also has a cafe, which showcases the work of local artists and features live music five nights a week. The food is delicious and affordable, and the atmosphere is fantastic. The cafe features daily specials, soups, salads, sandwiches, and quiche. They also serve amazing desserts, coffee and espresso drinks, and a variety of beer and wine. The Little was voted "Best Movie Theater" and "Best Place for a First Date" in City Newspaper's "Best Of" Awards in 2008. One of Rochester's best kept secrets, the Little is more than a movie theatre- it's an experience. Rochester is lucky to have a theatre like the Little-show your support & help keep this landmark alive.
