Blackfriar's Theatre

In 1950, this organization began under the name of the Catholic Theatre of Rochester. The name changed to Blackfriars (after the theatre once co-owned by Shakespeare) in 1962. Shows provided by this company feature theatre for Rochester residents, performed by the works of professional theatre artists, technical specialists, and actors.

Geva Theatre

This theatre is housed in an extensively renovated Naval Armory, which was first constructed in 1868. Today, the theatre provides five hundred seats with a spectacular stage, designed by a prestigious theatre design company, Roger Morgan Studio, Inc. The primary focus of this establishment is to provide professional theatrical performances for those who reside in Rochester.

In 1928, the Little Theatre began its ups and downs of success. It started with the intentions of being a substitute for the popular, larger movie houses. Today the majority of the films shown in the theatre are art films that would normally not make it to the big screen. This establishment also provides live entertainment and art exhibits. The Little Theatre café offers a nice place to relax and mingle over a cup of coffee and a delicious dessert.

Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra

Fantastic performances are provided by this orchestra throughout the year. Special performances include matinees on Sundays when guests may enjoy the music in casual attire and "orKIDstra" for children to be introduced to the wonders of orchestral music. WPOP is a year-long schedule listing popular entertainment that will be performed for all to enjoy. No matter the event on stage, visitors will be mesmerized by the amazing talents before them.
