10. New Year's Day

The Buzz -- New Year's Day is a time for celebration and high hopes for the year to come. Each New Year's an annual block party at the Piazza del Popolo welcomes the New Year with gusto. Clowns, super heroes, acrobats and more entertain children of all ages. The city's New Year's Parade is also widely attended as it wends its way along the grand Via della Conciliazione and finishes at St. Peter's Square where the Pope offers his annual New Year's Day blessing.
