The Buzz -- The Festa di San Giovanni, or the Feast of St. John the Baptist, comes during late June on the Roman calendar. A number of celebrations are held throughout the city, including a procession to the basilica of San Giovanni and lively activities that center around tasty eats in the neighborhood of San Giovanni. In fact, tradition says that the official meal of the holiday is snails and suckling pigs. |
