Still one of the best buys for your money, Pizzeria da Baffetto is a Roman institution. You will have to wait in line if you arrive late, but the roungh-and-tumble typically Roman atmosphere will make up for it. Bus: Corso Vittorio Emanuele. Another site, Baffetto 2, has opened in Piazza del Teatro di Pompeo 18.

No way to treat customers
I was hoping to have an amazing pizza at Da Baffetto but while we waited for a table, I politely asked (in Italian) to see a menu so we could decide quickly. The old gentleman, who is probably the owner, told me to F--- OFF (in Italian)!! I was shocked but still decided to stay since the guys in my group were watching a sporting event in the pub across the laneway while we waited. When we were seated, I then got yelled at by the same person because I tried to move the table away from the strangers we had to sit with. The waiter told me to ignore the old man but that's no way to treat a paying customer. The pizza was way to thin and not the best I tasted in Roma; best part of the meal was getting to know the 2 strangers we HAD to sit with!

The pizzas are too small, if you are hungry you need to eat two or three. The pizza is too thin and too crispy and there are not enough toppings. The service is bad. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
