No way to treat customers
I was hoping to have an amazing pizza at Da Baffetto but while we waited for a table, I politely asked (in Italian) to see a menu so we could decide quickly. The old gentleman, who is probably the owner, told me to F--- OFF (in Italian)!! I was shocked but still decided to stay since the guys in my group were watching a sporting event in the pub across the laneway while we waited. When we were seated, I then got yelled at by the same person because I tried to move the table away from the strangers we had to sit with. The waiter told me to ignore the old man but that's no way to treat a paying customer. The pizza was way to thin and not the best I tasted in Roma; best part of the meal was getting to know the 2 strangers we HAD to sit with!

The pizzas are too small, if you are hungry you need to eat two or three. The pizza is too thin and too crispy and there are not enough toppings. The service is bad. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

believe me is not the best pizza in Rome,, it's not bad, but not the best..THE SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!!! you have share your table with estrange people, and eat fast b/c they waiters say/// BYE... BYE.. BYE...
Just go to one block next to Chiesa Nuova (via della chiesa nuova 12) and find DA Mario a restaurant which has been opened for more than 50 years. The pizza is made it in Forno de Legna. one Important thin the service is great b/c the attender are the owner. (u will see la nona, il padre il figlio)

We were impressed with the pizza which was a fairly good size and very tasty, and quite inexpensive. However, we were dealt with in a rude manner, asked to move on when still drinking our wine, and brought the bill without having asked for it, even though we still had some wine left - basically an unsubtle hint for us to move so they could have our table (onto which they rammed two separate other couples so it resembled eating in a school canteen) for more people. When we asked if we could have some more drinks, we were told no, without an explanation. We no longer found an "old Rome institution", but merely a place which cares only about raking in the money and having as many customers as possible, rather than ensuring that people eating there are having a nice time.

For sure the best pizza ever. About standing in line. I ate there twice last week and I talked to the waiter and said we´ll be back in an hour and a half to eat and if he could reserve a table. When we came back he picked us out of the line and gave us a table at once. Thats service.

This is by far the best pizza I have ever had in my life! And I am orginally from Chicago, so I know and have had every type of pizza. Although the ambience inside isn't that great, the pizza makes it more than worth it. The pizza is the perfect Italian thin crust, but if you have a hearty appetite, get more than one. I'm a skinny 98lbs, and one wasn't nearly enough for me!

I have lived in Rome for 9 years and am bewildered by the continuing praise this place gets it. The pizza is decent but the service is simply atrocious. I've been there 5 times and every time found the service rude. The last time however, I vowed I would never return - I waited in line for 25 minutes to be seated but when my turn finally came, the waiter was so rude that I just turned and walked out. Montecarlo is a thousand times better. The pizza is much better, and while they too are rushed off their feet and the service is definitely no-frills, the staff always has time for a smile and is unfailingly courteous, efficient and friendly.

This is the best pizza I've ever had! I spent 4 months studying in Rome and I was lucky enough to live less than two blocks from Baffetto. We developed a great relationship with Mr. Baffetto. This is definitely a must for anyone traveling to Rome! The mushroom and onion pizza was my favorite. Try and get there before 9 so the line isn't as long!
