5. Ditirambo

Just around the corner from Campo dei Fiori, Ditirambo is busy, but convivial. The food includes many vegetarian options (eggplant cakes, fettuccine with porcini mushrooms and wild fennel, and zucchini flowers with sheep's milk ricotta and herb sauce), as well as good cuts of meat and plentiful fish dishes. The desserts, bread and pasta are all homemade and heavenly. The wine-list is extensive and the waiters seem to have a genuinely good time. Closed in August. Bus: 64.   (© 10Best)
