TESTACCIO.
Located in the sprawling heart of the Testaccio district, there's no better place for authentic pizza and a Roman atmosphere. Known for its big thin-crust pies (you pick your own toppings) and the classic Romano, Remo's a loud and popular place. Outdoor tables available, but expect to wait in line if you arrive late. One minus is that the owners close during August. BUS: Via Marmorata or Piazza Santa Maria Liberatrice

Greatest Pizza around
I have sampled Remo's pizza for the first time seven years ago in 2002. I have visited Remo yesterday 14/07/2009 and was once more amazed at the thinness of the crust and the strong flavour of the ingredients used. Remo is a casual laid back place where you can sit next to a stranger and enjoy in a friendly atmoshere the greatest pizza I have tried in any country. Strongly recommended!!

The best Pizza in Rome. Try the white pizza with zucchini flowers, it's amazing.
As a starter you should go for the fried baccalao or supplì (fried riceballs filled with mozarella) or maybe both.
If it's crowded? There is a waitinglist and it's worth standing outside for half an hour to get a table.

Fun neighborhood atmosphere serving great pizza. There's a chance you might have to share a table if you get there late!
