Wow I want to go there just to support a hardworking family owned business with great values.

**Restaurant Review**
Keep in mind (again, for all you ignorant self-absorbed schmucks) I will be commenting on the quality of the food and service this restaurant provides. Since that's the reason I frequent this website anyways. If I wanted some two-cent comments from the peanut gallery, I would have listened to to Nancy Pelosi or Dianne Feinstein on CSPAN. Anyways, when I walk into Leatherby's Family Creamery, my party is always greeted with a warm smile. They make sure we are seated quickly , accompanied with menus and a drink of choosing. The entrees are always made to order. Although the food is probably the reason this establishment doesn't merit 5 stars, I can't say I've ever had a "bad" meal. With that in mind, the desserts almost jump out of their glasses and into your pallet. They are decadent and well constructed. The sundaes and parfaits are filled to the top with all the toppings generously mixed in. The best sundae I have ever had, may very well have been at Leatherby's Family Creamery! A great place to take the family or that special someone for a late night treat

Leatherby's NOT a hotspot
Leatherby's may be a nice dip of Icecream, but in todays economy everybody is stepping up to earn business and there is fine taste everywhere. As a Consumer I look at, does this place deserve my money?... Do the Owners deserve me to spend my hard earned money at there place of business?.. The Asnwer, NO. The Ignorant owners of this place giving $20K to vote yes on prop 8, is not ok with me. What the World needs is equality, and this business trying to take that away from us, is not ok with me. Boycott this ignorant place!

Leatherby's serves a-one quality ice cream and food. My understanding is this forum is to discuss the quality of food/ice cream not politics. What I find abhorrent is individuals intolerant of allowing freedom of speech and thought. Please leave politics out of a restaurant review and just discuss the quality of food. There are other forums to discuss your other views!!!!!!

Yes, but in America we have the right not support those companies that don't support the Constitution and the guarantee of equality for all American citizens.

Is this still America?
Their ice cream is the best; It is always an enjoyable time there. I go there to eat tasty ice cream in a family atmosphere; and I am not interested in their political opinions as long as it does not affect my time there.. This is America and people have a right to their own beliefs; If someone finds that abhorrent, then they should not go to Leatherby's. You have the right to go where you want and they have a right to contribute to their own religous causes.

Keep in mind folks this company gave $20,000 to support bigotry

Please join us in boycotting Leatherby's Family Creamery! The Leatherby family contributed a total of $19,500 to the Yes on Prop 8 campaign. If you care about equality and social justice for all Californians, please boycott this business.

We had first gone to Leatherby's on our last trip to CA....my daughter's were so impressed that they wanted to return again this year when we came back to visit relatives in June. We were thrilled to find that sundaes were as big & wonderful as the last time!

This place was simply fantastic. We have never eaten sundaes like this before. A must visit place in Sacramento if your tastes incline in any way toward the ice cream end of the spectrum.
