DOWNTOWN.   Once Salt Lake City's premiere commercial zone, Exchange Place is one of six historic districts in the downtown area. This square block is bounded by Main Street to the west and State Street to the east and is nestled between 300 and 400 South. The district includes some of Salt Lake City's most architecturally noteworthy buildings, including the Mining Exchange, the Federal Building, and the Boston and Newhouse buildings (which, at 11 stories, were the city's first skyscrapers).   (© 10Best)
