DOWNTOWN.
Don't let the name fool you into thinking this place is a purveyor of fine art or 19th century European antiques. No, Frank Granato's is one of the area's top delis and has been for almost half a decade. Locals adore the place for its imported olive oil, fresh cheeses, and superb deli meats. If you can't take it home and make it the way you like, the deli counter also makes terrific sandwiches stuffed with the likes of Genoa salami, ricotta and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, and Italian sausage. You'll also find a newer location at 4044 South 2700 East (801-277-7700).

Granato's is streching themselves too thin. They have three locations now and all three have declined sharply in quality. Most of the olive oils on the shelves were over four years old. Caputo's sandwiches are much more authentic.

This rating is for the location in Holiday. The last few times I have been in (between Thanksgiving and mid-December), I have been disappointed with the level of service and candidly, the rude behavior of some of the employees. I experienced the same level of poor service today on my visit. I always thought that customers were the purpose for work, not an interruption to it. Maybe getting all the “busy” work done is more important than a smile, a "how can I help," and a sincere thank you for spending your money with us. Sorry for the rant, but this was a neighborhood favorite place. Not the case anymore

Granato's is by far the best Italian in all of Utah. The sandwiches are great and, if you LOVE olives like I do, you can't go wrong here. I give Granato's the best market, deli rating! They also offer the largest selection of coffee syrups I have ever seen in one place and, if you like matae, they have a great selection of that stuff too! Good luck Granato's!!!!
