Begun in 1120 and completed in 1796, the Residenz is a series of elaborate palaces that once housed the city's prince-archbishops. The complex includes a pedestrian plaza and showcases one of the largest Baroque water fountains in Europe. Inside you can see some of the best 16th to 19th century artwork and exquisite historical artifacts.
