3. Brackenridge Park

DOWNTOWN.   This tree-shaded park greets visitors with acres of playgrounds and picnic areas. It's home to San Antonio Zoological Gardens and Aquarium, the Japanese Tea Garden, the Sunken Garden Theatre, a driving range, and the city's oldest public golf course. This is one of San Antonio's most popular parks. If you would like to see lots of pictures of Brackenridge Park and find out what's there, what the pavilions look like, etc. please visit http://www.san-antonio-parks.com/BrackenridgePark.html I visited in January took lots of pictures and put them on this (my) website. I was especially impressed with the Japanese tea garden.
