6. Ford Holiday River Parade and Lighting Ceremony

The Buzz -- You might be exhausted by the many day-after-Thanksgiving sales, but make an effort to stay up for this bright, beautiful ceremony in which more than 122,000 lights are simultaneously set ablaze. As a run-up to the Christmas season, decorated floats cruise down the San Antonio River, which reflects the sparkles nightly until New Year's Day.
