About San Antonio Nightlife
Drawing on a rich cultural heritage, San Antonio's nightlife reflects the diverse influences at work in the city, from country-western to Mexican to European. If you're looking for a place to simply grab a drink, there are plenty of bars along the River Walk and along North St. Marys Street, bordering downtown. But the real emphasis here is on celebration, music and dancing. Several historic dance halls, such as John T. Floore Country Store and Gruene Hall in New Braunfels, host country dances and concerts. However, among the city's best places to party is Bonham Exchange, an awesome club featuring three dance floors. Popular live music haunts, such as the White Rabbit and Salute International Bar, feature hot lineups of rock, Latin and jazz acts, and you're also likely to hear Conjunto, a style that originated in Texas.
