DOWNTOWN.
You won't want to wake up from this dream of fine French food. Le Rêve offers a truly sophisticated culinary experience. Three-, four-, and five-course prix fixe menus are the standard; your choice may include carpaccio of monkfish, poached black bass and prawns, or a tournedo of Black Angus beef. Desserts include chocolate and coconut cake with curry anglaise. Naturally, the wine selection is exceptional and has been chosen to highlight the cuisine. Sumptuous and perfect for a romantic evening out. Reservations and dinner jackets required.

This spot tips its cowboy hat to France. Chef/owner Andrew Weissman returned home from New York's Culinary Institute of America with a passion for classic fare. You'll appreciate his perfection in remarkable plates and top-notch service. (from Southern Living)

I love everything about this spot- except, it is always out of something, including wine, and is has misspelled words on it's menu. It is "fake French" which drives some of us insane. We had a reservation (paid in advance) for Valentine's one year. My husband and I arrived for dinner and they told us that the V'day dinner was the night beforehand (the 13th) and that we had been charged since we did not show up. I spoke to him in French, and he did not understand a word. He ended up seating us, we were the ONLY people in the whole place that Valentine's evening, and they had a limited menu. Unfortunate. I believe that magazine reviewers should show up unannounced to get a real view of restaurants. Having been an owner in two spots here, I know that things are different with the menu and staff since they must let you know by law they are coming. See their web site- fake french- just look at how they spelled hors d'oeuvres!!! Right on their own site!

Our table was in a terrible location, by the entrance to the kitchen, and it felt like Grand Central Station.
We were missing a key ingredient in our starter. When asked, our hostess explained the ingredient had not come in that day. Solution: don't offer it.
The food was not as stunning and creative as it should have been-we were disappointed.
The very kind and knowlegable sommelier was the bright spot in the evening. He very thoughtfully moved us to another table two courses in to our meal, and wasn't patronizing or simpering.
For the price we paid for the meal at Le Reve, we could've have eaten at a three Michelin star restaurant in France. We should've waited.
