RIVER WALK.
Culinary inventiveness and use of fresh, local ingredients help make this restaurant popular. Its delicious frozen margaritas are made with swirls of crimson prickly pear juice, and the menu revels in dishes like black lacquered duck leg, papaya-marinated flank steak, mesquite-grilled Texas quail, and shrimp and crab enchiladas. Book a table on the barge and enjoy a river tour and a prix fixe meal, or sit by the window and watch life float peacefully by while you indulge your appetite.

This bistro's Prickly Pear Margaritas pack a mean punch, but they're one-of-a-kind. Order guacamole salad prepared at your table. It feeds 2 people, served with chips, and the finished product tastes spicy and delicious. (from Southern Living)

I moved to San Antonio about 8 months ago. I quickly discovered what has become my very favorite restaurant! Boudro's has the best guacamole in the world (I've never liked guacamole until I tried it here). And of course, the best margarita ever! Their food is amazing, the service is great! Every time someone comes to visit, I take them there. And every time, my guest is in awe! If you visit San Antonio, you HAVE to eat at Boudro's and have a prickly pear margarita!

Recently my fiancée' and I visited this establishment to celebrate his birthday. Although the atmosphere was nice, the food had much to be desired. We read that Boudro's was one of the best in San Antonio and had been written up in Gourmet magazine as being excellent, that was all the advice we needed. Once seated, we ordered a drink and their shrimp cocktail appetizer. Both of us commented on the reasonable prices on the menu and anticipated our celebration meal. The shrimp and sauces that were served with them were fine, nothing exceptional. We then ordered what the hostess recommended as being their star entree of Blackened Prime Rib. Although the steak was cooked to the proper doneness, both my fiancée and myself were disappointed that the meat had no taste! The vegetables that were served with the meal had the distinctive flavor of "Liquid Smoke" as did the two side dishes we ordered - Garlic Bread and Roasted salsa and tortilla chips. Long story short - if you like the taste of bottled liquid smoke heavily poured on ALL your food - this is your place. We were very, very disappointed and will not visit Boudro's again.
