REDLANDS. Folks who drive down Prospect and spot this home could almost believe they're in the 'campagne française.' Indeed, the grand, stately chateau ranks as one of the Inland Empire's best examples of Victorian-era architecture. Built in 1897 for Mrs. Cornelia Hill, the home takes its name from its second owner, J. Alfred Kimberly. The mansion's stunning, European-style gardens explode with color each season, and its interior boasts gilt furniture, silk damask wall coverings, and rare artwork. More than 11,000 people visit Kimberly Crest each year.
