1. Route 66 Rendezvous®

The Buzz -- Classic hot rods from across the country descend on San Bernardino for this three-day event, which celebrates famed Route 66 as much as it does classic autos. The Rendezvous features something for everybody, including a golf tourney, live music, firefighter competitions, a 5-K run, and scores of car demonstrations. Beyond that, try this on for size: More than half a million people attend the Rendezvous each year, a far cry from the 4000 who showed up for the inaugural event in 1990.
