7. Sassy Steer

A nice family environment with booths and tables. I went there with my family for my Mother's birthday. We had an excellent meal, great customer service and didn't go broke in the process. You get generous portions for a reasonable price. They have wonderful homemade bread pudding that's tasty and rare to find. We'll be back for Father's Day.

It was my first time coming to this restaurant. I've seen it when I drive down Mt. Vernon and I wish I've come here sooner. My waitress was great, the food was delicious and the prices very reasonable. The decor is cute with tiffany lamps and and some rustic pictures on the wall. When I was there several large groups were celebrating birthdays. I definitely recommend going here. I'll be coming back.

I was trying out the restaurants on restaurant row in colton to see if there was anything out in that little booney city. I tried a bunch of those restaurants down this strip mall and didn't find anything amazing. I ended up trying this place called sassy steer... the name kind of threw me off but it turned out to be a steakhouse with steaks from filet mignon to a 20oz plank steak. I ordered the plank steak and shared it with my wife. I was surprised when the waitress carved the steak at our table. It was great and nothing tastes better with steak then beer on tap. We got a pitcher of bud lite to wash it down. If you're looking for good steak give sassy steer a try.

I'm a trucker so I stop by at steakhouses a lot. I was happy to see my favorite beer on tap - Bud Lite and to see some cute waitresses. The place is a cozy sort of place and the food has a lot bang for your bucks. I left with a full stomach and left overs. I'll be back when I'm in the area again.

We phoned ahead for a booth as we had a large party. We were asked a name and gave one. When we arrived our booth was taken. When I asked, the hostess said she thought it was our party and seated them without checking names. My salad had a fuzzy something in it, and the food was a not edible. Four out of five steaks were raw. My filet was butchered and overcooked the second time it was sent back. This was a special nite out for our family and I personally recommended your Sassy Steer. Needless to say it was the worst food we have ever tried to eat in a restaurant. The manager did not even come to the table himself to apologize. Instead he sent the waitress over to do his job.

Sassy Steer has gone down hill since Frank & Debbie left. The new owners don’t how to clean. We were regulars until they failed to keep the place clean. Strike 3, You're Out! On three different occasions when we visited the restaurant it had a “Dirty Water” smell. This made our dining experience very distasteful. On two of these occasions we complained, but they apparently didn’t listen. On the third visit we complained again and then walked out before we could be seated. The place smelled worse than before. We stopped recommending Sassy Steer to our friends.

A nice restaurant to take the family for some good food. Will definitely go again. 5/5 stars

I thought the food & service was excellent. The sirloin was done to perfection and the service was so courteous! I enjoyed taking the whole family there and will be doing it more often!

Let's see . . . the prime rib was cold & chewy, the fried chicken was overdone and tasteless. The rib steak was definitely 'off', not cooked to order, and over seasoned to hide the spoilage.
