San Diego has several well-known attractions - the San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld, Old Town, Balboa Park, Cabrillo National Monument, the beaches - all of which are well worth a visit. But the city has so much more to offer. Whatever subject you're interested in, San Diego probably has a great museum devoted to it. Two of California's picturesque Spanish missions are here. Day trips to Carlsbad, Julian or La Jolla (or even Tijuana, Mexico) are convenient and fun. Catch sight of some wildlife at Torrey Pines State Park, Anza-Borrega Desert State Park, or on a whale watching tour.
