HILLCREST / BALBOA PARK.   A favorite with locals, Hamilton's is well-known for its fantastic beer offerings - over 130 bottled beers and 25 draft selections, with an exceptional array of Belgian ales and US microbrews. Unusually, the food menu includes a couple of very tasty vegetarian options, along with high-quality traditional eats like nachos, brats and burgers. The jukebox plays classic rock and blues, with a smattering of punk and alt rock for good measure, but when there's a big game you can expect to see it here on one (or all) of three big-screen TVs.   (© 10Best)
