HILLCREST / BALBOA PARK.
This funky neighborhood café serves up hearty breakfasts of French toast and eggs, but also offers a number of healthy vegetarian items. Super friendly owner and staff really make the experience memorable. A favorite with locals, who drop by for a cuppa joe and a chat, or a quick meal. A good place to take the kids. Whoopi Goldberg washed dishes here before becoming an international star.

great
I have visited this place three times. Always friendly always good. Judy The Beauty is just that. First off it is not fast food. My food was three times cook like I liked it. The first time I was sent there by a friend and welcomed as if I was a neighbor not a guy that was 2,057 miles from home. Before I left the owner gave me directions, her cell phone number in case we got lost and a big hug for the road. San Diego is so very luck to have The big kitchen.

This restaurant is one of the most evaluated and visited by many personalities. So I thought this restaurant must be good, wow was I wrong. First the place was very dirty (health rating must be fake), second seating is bad to worse, third customer service is very poor (repeatedly you have to ask for a refill) and fourth the food quality was nauseating at best. Our party of four all had the same experience and we sadly will never return.
