8. Perry's Café

Perry's Cafe is the best breakfast value we have ever had! The wait is reasonable for a tourist area, the staff is friendly, the service is prompt and the food is super sized and incredibly tasty! We will be visiting San Diego again this month, and Perry's is at the top of our list of breakfast places.

Had breakfast here recently (for the second time), and wow, was it good for the value. Low prices, great food, friendly staff. Will go again

Oh, wonderful! As a former resident of San Diego, Perry's is maybe the best all-around place to have breakfast. There are certainly other good places, but none of them offer the combination of GREAT food, EXCELLENT service, and surprisingly low prices. Don't let the line out front stop you--somehow the folks at Perry's know how to move that along really quickly without making diners feel rushed. If you're looking for trendy, go someplace else. But if you're looking for delicious variety (American, Italian, & Mexican) at a great price, try either location (Old Town or El Cajon)!

Great place for breakfast. Sitting at the counter on a week day morning, the coffee keeps coming. Actually, it's my most favorite breakfast place.

Perfect family restaurant. Be hungry when you come in, cus you won't be when you leave. Gotta get the Frittatas!

On our two trips to San Diego, we ate breakfast at Perry's Cafe everyday. The food is awesome, the service is quick and friendly. We're going back to San Diego this year and plan on visiting Perry's Cafe again. I highly recommend it.
