4. El Agave Tequileria

OLD TOWN.   El Agave Tequileria is the hands-down winner for tequila selection, but they have fantastic authentic food as well. Their Mole Poblano Don Julio (chicken and rice covered with a complex, multi-faceted mole sauce) is amazing; Pescado Tikin-Xik (sea bass with achiote and wrapped in a banana leaf) is succulent and satisfying; Sopecitos de Camarón (blue masa stuffed with shrimp and chipotle sauce) is unique and piquant. With a stock of hundreds of tequilas (so many that the place is actually considered a tequila museum), you know the margaritas are perfect.   (© 10Best)
