About 10Best's San Diego Restaurants Selections:
Californian cuisine is the default here – it's everywhere, and it's fantastic, especially at places like Blanca, Nine-Ten, George's at the Cove, and A.R. Valentien. Seafood is super fresh and on just about every menu, although Top of the Market, Oceanaire, and Osetra are standouts. Mexican joints are a dime a dozen, and some of the small taquerias and cantinas serve up awesome food at bargain prices. For more upscale and authentic Mexican, try Candelas, El Agave Tequileria, or Ortega's. More exotic flavors are easy to locate, too. Try Rama for Thai, Milles Fleurs or Café Chloe for authentic French, or one of Deborah Scott's fusion creations at Kemo Sabe or Indigo grill. Of course, sometimes only a steak will do. Although there are the usual steakhouse chains all over town, and several of the city's finer restaurants serve excellent steaks, the best are at Donovan's.

This location has been many things – The Drip Drop Cafe, The Tropicana Cafe, and now Cafe Joie ( French spelling for Joy ), and at last I think the new owners got it right. They have changed the coffee selections, added more variety and flavours, and very importantly more food. I'm told to expect some exciting new changes to the menu and decor. I recommend their new speciality acai breakfast bowls a huge helping of acai, granola, banana, and apple juice, makes a great start to the day! Every item is available to take out or eat in the peaceful patio area or the French-influenced seating inside the cafe. If you are visiting Mission Beach, Cafe Joie has the best gourmet coffee for miles.

This great new dessert restaurant offers a mouth-watering array of desserts, cakes, and coffees. The ambiance is warm and friendly, great service, nice place to hang out. I've been there lots of times, with friends and family. My favorites are the bread pudding and the creme brulee. Fabulous!

Sophistication into a blended scene of dining and luxury island-style lounging. From Mangu’s spacious patio to the restaurant’s wall-wide waterfall, touches of the Islands, as well as South Beach and San Diego, gently sweep across the restaurant with shell stonework, ostrich leather booths, palm wood tables, and more. Renowned New York City trained chef and Mangu’s Executive Chef, David Santiago, captures tantalizing tastes of the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, and Cuba. Exotic dishes of fresh guava goat cheese stuffed chicken breast, Caribbean style roasted pork, and fire-roasted Caribbean spiny lobster with cuttlefish ink black rice, complement Mangu’s signature mojitos, 120 wines, and aged rums and scotches.

My friend recommended this little cafe that he came across by accident and fell in love with. I checked it out and the food was interestingly delicious! My favorites are the Mango Green Tea with boba and the Chicken Rice Burger with Spicy Sauce. This is the most interesting fusion food that I've tried in a while! The Oriental Chicken Crepe was almost a marriage between Japan and French! New flavor and new food concept, definitely worth checking out!
