Neighborhoods
- CARLSBAD: Coastal - includes Carlsbad, Oceanside, Leucadia, Vista
- CHULA VISTA: South, between San Diego and Tijuana
- CORONADO: Across the bay from downtown San Diego.
- DEL MAR: Coastal - includes Del Mar, Solana Beach and Encinitas
- DOWNTOWN: Technically, the one square-mile grid between I-5 and the harbor – West and north of Horton Plaza. None of San Diego's big attractions are located downtown. Includes Little Italy. Our boundaries extend a bit north and south.
- EAST DOWNTOWN: South of Petco Park; includes Barrio Logan (Logan Heights), Naval Base, south to National City
- EAST SAN DIEGO COUNTY: Points east of Mission Valley (El Cajon). Includes Anza-Borrego Desert SP, Cuyamaca Rancho SP, several reservations, and the towns of Borrego Springs, Julian, Wynola, Santa Ysabel, Warner Springs, Alpine, etc.
- ESCONDIDO / RANCHO BERNARDO: East of Rancho Santa Fe, northeast of Miramar Marine Corps Base. Includes Rancho Bernardo, Escondido, San Marcos, and Poway
- GASLAMP QUARTER: Technically, 4th and 6th Avenues between Broadway and Harbor Drive. East and South of Horton Plaza, down to Petco Park
- HILLCREST / BALBOA PARK: Almost directly east of the northern part of Coronado, across the bay, is downtown San Diego. Just north of that is Balboa Park. This neighborhood includes the park itself, the area directly to the east, Hillcrest (to the west and north of the park), Mission Hills and University Heights. "The Village" is a popular area in Hillcrest, bounded by Washington and University, between Fourth and Fifth Avenues.
- LA JOLLA: Coastal – from Univ of CA San Diego south to Pacific Beach
- MISSION BAY: Coastal - Roughly from I-5 on the east, to I-8 (Ocean Beach Fwy) on the south, to the Pacific on the west and Grand Ave on the north. Includes Ocean Beach.
- MISSION VALLEY: East of Old Town, along I-8 as far out as El Cajon
- OLD TOWN: East of Mission Bay, about 3 miles north of downtown San Diego, in the area south and east of Presidio Park (near junction of I-5 and I-8)
- PACIFIC BEACH: Coastal - North of Mission Bay – Grand Ave on the south, Pacific Ocean on the west, Beryl St on the north, I-5 on the east
- POINT LOMA: Coastal - Includes Harbor and Shelter Islands, naval stations
- RANCHO SANTA FE: East of Del Mar
- AIRPORT - SAN
