FISHERMAN'S WHARF.   Sleek and contemporary yet warm and inviting, this restaurant showcases classical culinary knowledge, a flair for the creative, and an appreciation for local ingredients. All are in attendance on the restaurant's seasonal menus, which include dishes like mushroom-dusted sea scallops with cauliflower purée, juniper-crusted venison, and Moroccan-spiced squab with orange-cumin carrots. Exquisite service and a sophisticated prix fixe menu provide additional perks, as does a 1300-bottle wine list.   (© 10Best)

Four best reasons to go: Celeb chef. Cheese cart. Extensive wine list. Polished servers. You'll lick your platter clean when you order Danko's top-notch seasonal dishes, such as roast lobster, lamb loin, and quail. (from Sunset)

Food is definitely top notch. Service is impeccable. Though it may seem pricey at first, the total dining experience makes it feel like you had the best meal of your life. So just absolutely worth every penny. Reservations are difficult but if you come in early enough (or later in the evening after the dinner rush) there is limited bar seating that is first come, first serve.
