COW HOLLOW.   This rustic neighborhood restaurant is a favorite with locals for its wonderfully sensual cuisine and accomplished menu. Pastas are always a fantastic choice, and you'll find plenty of them, boasting morsels of meat, cheese, and herbs in savory dressings. The chilled artichoke appetizer and lamb chops with roasted potatoes also elicit great reviews, and the crème caramel can't be overlooked! Service very friendly without that chatty, "hi-my-name-is-Bob-and-I'll-be-your-waiter" stuff. Food excellent and very fairly priced. Good wine list with reasonable prices. Reservation honored exactly on time but don't go early; there's no bar and only four chairs to sit on.
