10. Rio Piedras Botanical Gardens

RIO PIEDRAS.   The University of Puerto Rico is to thank for maintaining this wonderful tropical garden. Over 200 species of vegetation are laid out for discovery on well-marked footpaths that crisscross the 75-acre property and lead to, among others, an orchid garden and a palm garden. Plan to bring a picnic lunch and eat next to the lotus lagoon.   (© 10Best)
