OLD SAN JUAN.   What better place to enjoy an authentic Puerto Rican meal than at the city's oldest restaurant? Established in 1848 this spot has been lovingly run by the Rojos family since 1900. The house special is asopao, a thick stew made with rice and chicken, lobster or shrimp. Sample fresh gazpacho for a starter and save room for some flan for dessert.   (© 10Best)

I first visited this restaurant when I was 15 yrs old...I'm about to celebrate my 41st b'day (next week) and will be visiting MY FAVORITE DINING SPOT (La Mallorquina)....I'M ON MY WAY BACK TO Puerto Rico :) Everything about this eatery is A+, the food is to die for...freshly cooked and seasoned to perfection, the staff is very friendly and attentive. The interior has an old world charm that sets La Mallorquina apart from many other restaurants. You must try... a pina colada, coconut flan, mofongo, chicken and rice, octopus salad...I'm drooling just thinking about it. Enjoy :)
