PARTE VIEJA. The Basque region has been dependant upon the sea for hundreds of years. This museum exhibits and chronicles artifacts that influenced the city's maritime past. Housed in an 18th century building, the Museo Naval focuses on the history of boat construction. On display are navigation instruments, anchors, and naval documents, as well as a 3-D model of a ship. This museum makes a nice stop to learn more about the area's sea trading economy.
