Cedar Point Amusement Park

CEDAR POINT. One of the nation's oldest amusement parks, this venerable favorite rests along the shores of Lake Erie. It's a huge local attraction, especially during summer vacation. Thrill-ride aficionados, in particular, revel in Cedar Point's 16 roller coasters, which include both steel- and wood-frame monsters. In total, 68 rides elicit screams and shrieks of delight. Also on the premises are children's rides, a water park, extreme sport rides, and a lakefront beach. Restaurants and hotels can be found in the area as well.
