MONTECITO.   Terra-cotta tiles, exposed wood, and an open kitchen impart an air of familiarity to this comfortable restaurant. The quality extends to the food as well, which is prepared with honesty and aplomb. Wood-fired pizzas prove the point, dressed with grilled vegetables, herbs, and pungent cheeses. Light, homemade pastas fall in line as well, and main courses include roasted sea bass with summer vegetables, pork osso buco, truffle risotto with grilled lamb loin, and juicy rotisserie chicken.
