5. Farmer's Market

SANTA BARBARA.   If you're curious about local agriculture and what's farmed in the vicinity, this great market will leave little doubt. Farmers from all around load up their goods and produce for city folks and anyone who craves fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, and herbs. Seafood vendors also make an appearance, and you're always likely to find something you hadn't anticipated. On Tuesday, another market takes place between 500 and 600 State Street (4pm-7:30pm in Summer and 3pm-6:30pm in Winter), and others are held in Montecito, Goleta, and Carpinteria.   (© 10Best)
