SANTA BARBARA.   Dinner at this charming hotel restaurant is, thankfully, a privilege not just reserved for overnight guests. The establishment, just off the main lobby, boasts candlelight, historic character, and a great menu that capitalizes on fresh local seafood. In fact, an oft-requested main course is potato-crusted sea bass. If that doesn't suit, succulent pork, grilled meats, and flavorful pastas serve just as well. Lunch offers up a variety of light fare, and if you can manage, plan to dine on the verandah for an added touch of romance.   (© 10Best)

Wonderful staff at all levels. Excellent food..hard to choose between their Rack of Lamb and their filet with Gorgonzola cheese. The afternoon Shrimp louie is superb..not to mention their pasta dishes.
